How does the AI budget work?
Think of it like a phone data plan. Your tier includes a monthly token budget that the AI assistant draws from. Simple questions use less; complex analyses use more. We show "~500 typical interactions" as a reference point — most users never hit their limit with normal use.
What are Essentials libraries?
Essentials are a set of curated libraries SiteCAD publishes into the community catalog — fencing, irrigation, civil ops, and so on. They install like any community library; the Official badge tells you who wrote them.
Who can open a published 3D link?
Anyone you send it to. A published scenario or site opens read-only in an ordinary web browser — no SiteCAD account, no sign-in, and nothing for the viewer to pay. Creating the link is the part that needs a plan: publishing is included from Pro up. On the free plan you can still share a scenario with a specific person by email invite; they view it from their own SiteCAD account.
What counts as a site?
Each distinct property or project in your workspace. Every new site you create counts once against your monthly allowance — whether you start it from scratch, clone an existing one, or create one with the AI agent's help. Viewing a site someone shared with you doesn't count. Reusable components — entity templates, ops scripts from libraries — aren't sites; those are the right pattern for repeat-use assets.
How does the 3-site limit on Pro work?
Pro includes 3 new sites per billing month. The counter resets at the start of each billing cycle and tracks creation — once you've used your 3 this month, deleting old sites doesn't refund the counter. Sites you created in prior months stay accessible and don't count forward. The limit is a throughput cap on new work, not a ceiling on total sites.
What if I want to wind down an old site?
Export your scenario as a .scenario.snap file at any time — each snapshot is a signed, offline-verifiable archive you keep on disk. Re-importing later creates a new site and counts against your Pro monthly site rate.
What is an "HQ mapping session"?
When you load high-quality terrain and imagery for a new area, that's a mapping session. Revisiting areas you've already mapped doesn't count. If you use up your daily sessions, the app switches to standard satellite imagery so you can keep working — just at lower resolution.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data is always exportable. Free tier data stays in your browser. Paid tier cloud data is retained for 30 days after cancellation — download your scenarios before you go, and you can reactivate within that window to pick up where you left off.

What does "Founding Member" pricing mean?
